Mr. Deepak Premnarayen,
Executive Chairman and founder of the ICS Group

Mr. Deepak Premnarayen is an experienced entrepreneur and business leader. He founded the ICS Group in 1998 with interests in real estate, financial services and hospitality.

 

The Group has partnered with international domain leaders like Old Mutual Property (South Africa), Bentel Associates (South Africa) and Secure Parking (Australia) for property development & management and asset management services, architectural design services and car park management

services respectively. The Group has recently forayed into the luxury boutique hospitality space and has partnered Mantis International (South Africa) for the Indian sub-continent.
Mr. Premnarayen has led the Group’s foray into these diverse sectors. He continues to serve as the Executive Chairman of the Group and has had an illustrious career spanning 4 decades, with strong relationships across the Indian corporate sector

Apart from being on the board of the Group companies, Mr. Premnarayen is also on the board of

• FirstRand Limited, a leading banking and financial services group from South Africa listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. He has been instrumental in establishing the India operations of FirstRand Bank.
• Triangle Real Estate India Fund LLC, a FDI compliant fund for India raised in conjunction with Old Mutual Property in South Africa. The fund is listed on Mauritius Stock Exchange.
• Noida Toll Bridge Co. Ltd. (listed in India & AIMS in UK).

 

• Convener of India – South Africa CEO’s Forum (CII) & the Co-Chair of National Committee On Marketing(CII).

• CII National Council and other CII committees such as:
  -Banking Committee
  -National Task Force on Financial Inclusion
  -Services Committee
  

• Council of Management of AIMA (All India Management Association) for 2011-2012

• Mr. Premnarayen is a member of the Managing Committee of the IMC (Indian Merchants Chamber).

Mr. Kunal Premnarayen

Group CEO & Board Member - ICS Group

• Kunal has completed his BA from Wakeforest University, USA.

• After his initial stint in USA with firms like Merrill Lynch and Lucent Technologies, Kunal moved to India a decade ago. Since then he has been with ICS in a senior management role and has developed deep domain knowledge of India’s evolving real estate sector.

• In his role as the CEO, Kunal is strategically involved in the real estate businesses.

• Kunal is a director on the AMC Board in Mauritius and is the Chairman of the Group’s property development and management company – Pioneer Property Zone

Mr. Deep Kantawala

Group CFO & Board Member - Pioneer Property Zone 

• Deep is a Chartered Accountant, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and a professional diploma from the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, United Kingdom (RICS).

• Deep has been with the ICS Group for more than 12 years, wherein he has also managed several businesses, new initiatives and legal portfolio of the Group.
  

• Over the years , he has specialised in structuring cross-border transactions and risk management.

• In addition to his responsibilities as the CFO, Deep also heads the Group’s asset management business.
  
• He is a  member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Bombay Chartered Accountants Society and an eminent member of RICS.
  

Mr. Ian Watt

Board Member - Pioneer Property Zone

• Ian Watt completed his studies from Maritzburg College, South Africa. He retired as a Director of Old Mutual Investment Group Property Investments (OMIGPI), South Africa after 40 years of career with the Group. His projects have won prestigious global awards from organisations like the International Council of Shopping Centres and the International Real Estate Federation.

• He has served as a Member of the Board of Governors of the Global Real Estate Institute and was Chairman of the 2005 World Summit which was hosted by the ICSC in Istanbul, Turkey.

• He is a Director and mentor at Pioneer Property Zone.

Mr. Anand Sundaram

CEO, PPZ

• Anand brings with him a vast experience spread over two and half decade. He started his career in the hospitality industry but over the years gained significant experience in the retail sector. Prior to joining Pioneer Property Zone he was with Phoenix Market City as Chief Operating Officer and was responsible for launching, creating and operating their retail led developments across the country. Previously Anand has also worked with Inorbit Malls, managing their malls portfolio and handling strategy development for the new assets. .

• Anands’ strategic thinking and knowledge make him a great leader. His approach and track record of delivering results and setting industry benchmarks is valued. He specializes in corporate strategy and business process re-engineering.

• Anand also has a commerce degree from Delhi University and an MBA from University of Durham Business School, UK.

Mr. Stephen Roberts

Chairman, Bentel Associates

• Stephen has completed his degree in Building Construction at the Brixton School of Building, London, UK.

• He has an experience of 40 years in the architectural business.

• Stephen was previously with Norman and Dawbarn Architects & Ivan Schlapobersky & Partners.

• Stephen Roberts has been one of the driving forces of rapid rise of Bentel Associates International.

Mr. Biswabhushan Beura

Director, Operations, Bentel India

• Bhushan leads the Indian operations of Bentel Associates.

• He has done his Bachelor in Architecture from NIT, Bhopal and a post graduation diploma in construction management from NICMAR, Pune.

• He has an experience of 18 years in the architectural business and was previously with Raja Aederi CPL, Mumbai.

• Bhushan has spearheaded many prestigious projects  of Bentel such as  South  City mall - Kolkata,  Oberoi mall – Mumbai, Inorbit mall – Mumbai, DB mall – Bhopal &  UB City - Bangalore to name a few.

Mr. Arvind Mayar

CEO, Secure Parking -India

• Arvind is an engineering graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology with a post graduate degree in Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management.

• He has twenty five years of experience in the wholesale and retail of goods and services in India and international markets handling large footfalls.

• He has additional 5 years experience in real estate construction and development of commercial and residential complexes including in parking management.

Mr. Akhil Behl

CEO, Ayana Hospitality Pvt Ltd

• Akhil Behl is the CEO and co-founder of the Company. He leads the Indian JV, influencing the design process of hospitality ventures from concept level. Over the last few years, he has been involved in the conceptualization of luxury eco-lodge projects in Kanha and Pench National Park and a luxury second home development with a hospitality component outside Mumbai. Most recently, he has had extended stints at Mantis properties, understanding the critical aspects of delivering a luxury boutique experience to discerning travelers..

• Prior to this, Akhil was instrumental in building Avendus Capital’s (an investment bank) M&A and private equity syndication practice in the life sciences sector. Akhil has also had a stint as a Senior Associate at Grail Partners (London) focusing on private equity fund raising and investment initiatives in the U.S.A and Europe. He began his professional career with Berkshire Capital (New York), a boutique investment bank that specializes in providing M&A related advisory services to non-depositary financial institutions.
